Back to School, Back to your Vessel Business!

by: Dioni Marie Morales, National Sales Manager

It's the middle of August already!  It’s almost the end of summer, and kids are going back to school.  For many of us, this is a time when we are taking back our time, especially for our business.  My three and a half year-old twins are heading to pre-school in three weeks, and I am already planning all the productive things I can do with that extra four hours a day, four times a week.  I am beyond ecstatic. (Of course, I am excited about what they will learn as well, it's not all about me.)  So in a way, it feels like the beginning of a new year as I set new goals.

In the words of one of my favorites, Dani Johnson, Direct Selling Business guru and motivational speaker:

"There will be distractions – everything from the people around you to your work to your own feelings – but you must keep going! You must persist!

“So keep your eyes on the prize! Keep your vision right in front of you to remind you of where you’re headed.

“Take continuous action towards your goals. What action can you take today that will get you closer to where you want to be tomorrow? GO DO IT!"

We understand that because of summer and all that it entails - kids at home, vacations, etc. - you were probably not as successful at booking parties or getting people to commit to starting their new business.  We want to help you get back on track with your goal of growing your own business and achieving all your dreams.  To help you do that, we are inviting you to our first Conference Call. We will send you more details shortly, but for now, please save the date on your calendars: Wednesday, September 4th, at 7:00 pm MST.  We will be announcing a new promotion!

Please remember that you can always contact me about having a one-on-one training session on the compensation plan, getting ideas on how to talk to people and present the business, etc. I am here to help you.

Have a great and wonderful rest of the week.

Take Charge of your time!

by: Dioni Marie Morales, National Sales Manager

I was talking to a friend recently about time management. I was telling her that when I know I have a busy day ahead, I take the time to make myself a "to do" list.  I am diligent about checking off every task completed.  Many times I am surprised to find that what I thought was going to take all day to complete only takes half of my time. On the other hand, when I don't have a very busy day and I don't feel a need to write down the three things I had to do, 6 pm sneaks up on me and I haven't done one single thing. Does that happen to you as well? Why is it that on the days that we think we have more time available we just don't spend it wisely?

I just read a quote from best-selling author, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker, Jim Rohn that says: "Either you run the day, or the day runs you."

That's it - it's really not that complicated. If we don't plan our days and prioritize our tasks, we accomplish very little.  Time just flies by. I know that we all have many things in our lives and on our minds.  We might have other jobs, a spouse and children to take care of, a house to clean, meals to cook, laundry, etc. I know I do, so when I make my list of things to do, I include the usual things such as: clean the refrigerator, vacuum, workout, etc. However, on the same list I include everyone I need to call to talk about the Vessel business, everyone I need to email, etc.  I even have a daily task on my to-do list to read one article about Direct Selling a day so I can be better educated in my business.

I can almost guarantee that if you create a daily "to do" list (I use my smart phone and do this the night before), you will find that you actually have more time on your hands because you are more organized. I invite you to try it for a week.  Include all of your daily duties, but also start adding your Vessel business-related tasks, such as contacting at least one person a day to present the Vessel opportunity, study the Vessel compensation plan, plan a Home Party, have a Home Party, etc.  After a week of doing so, you will not only notice you do have the time you need to run your Vessel business but you will notice how much closer you are to achieving your dream of being your own boss and having financial independence.

Remember, your business will only grow if you take the time to grow it. There's another great quote I like: "Don't wait. The time will never be just right" (Napoleon Hill). Start today, even if it’s only an hour a day if that's all you can commit to.  But start moving toward your goals.  Even if it’s not as fast as you would like, at least you are moving in the right direction.  You will be closer and closer every day to reaching those goals.

Vessel’s Compensation Plan’s Unique Points

by Dioni Marie Morales, National Sales Manager

At Vessel we have made a big investment in the design and creation of our very complete and comprehensive Compensation Plan. We have made it a priority that our Stylists are rewarded for their hard and smart work building a successful downline. We want to make sure that the “top” is not only achievable, but worth getting to. There are other companies with compensation plans that make it very easy to get to the top, but when you get there, you are not making a significant income. With Vessel when you get to the “top” you will be earning an income that will be enough for you to live the lifestyle that you have only dreamed of.  Getting to the top doesn’t always have the same meaning and/or result.  You can get to the top of a small hill, or you can get to the top of a big mountain. At Vessel we offer you the “Everest” of plans, with a great route map and support to help you climb it.
We recognize that many compensation plans have one or more wonderful aspects, but we can assure you that we have more unique points than any plan we’ve come across so far.  Our plan was carefully structured to motivate and reward ALL the behaviors that will help you build a successful business.
Below please find some of what we call Vessel’s “Unique Points”:

1.     You will earn a 30% Retail Commission from Day One.  You do not have to become an Active Stylist ($300 Retails sales in one month) to earn this Retail Commission. If you only sell $100 your first month, you will get that $30 check, even if you didn’t make it to Active Stylist.

2.     Power Seller’s Bonus: If you want to take the seller’s approach with your Vessel business, then we will reward you for that.   You can earn up to a total of 40% Retail Commission.

3.     Your PSV (Personal Sales Volume) requirements include your clients, and you personally do not have to buy anything (although, of course, it counts toward your PSV if you do).  Your clients’ purchases can be enough to cover your requirement. In many companies you always have to make monthly personal purchases.

4.     Matching Advancement Bonus: You get $150 when you become a Silver Stylist, and $500 when you become a Sapphire Director.  You also receive another $500 every single time someone in your downline becomes a Sapphire Director (as long as you are paid as a Sapphire Director and there’s not another Sapphire or above, between you and that person). Other companies give one time advancement bonuses as well, but what’s unique about us is that as long as you are helping your Stylists become Sapphire Directors you will get $500 every time, NO limit.

5.     Team Volume Bonus: From Sapphire Director and above you get paid 2% on your TSV (Team Sales Volume: yourself and your entire downline, down to, but not including, the next Sapphire Director).  How many levels are included on this bonus might very well be different in every leg.

6.     Fast Start Bonus: We understand that you will be working very closely and dedicating more time to the new Stylists during the first 90 days of their business, so we will reward you for it, with an extra 5% on their sales during that period.  As early as an Executive Stylist you also get paid 3% on your Level 2 recruits.

7.     Career Title Retention: With Vessel you never lose the title you have achieved prior to becoming a Director.  From Sapphire Director and above, you will keep your title (although not be paid as that title unless you qualified that month) for 12 months. You will only be demoted if, in a 12 month period, you have not qualified even one month as that title.  As soon as you qualify again at that title, then the 12 month clock starts again (i.e., it’s a rolling 12 month period).

8.     Founder’s Club: We are offering the opportunity to be part of an exclusive group of motivated Stylists, who will be part of a special bonus pool.  You need to become a Ruby Director within the first 18 months after signing up as a Stylist. We are giving the opportunity of becoming part of this elite group to any Stylist that signs up on or before June 30th, 2014.

9.     Generation Bonuses: A Generation is the relationship between one Sapphire Director or higher and another Sapphire Director or higher. From Opal Director and above you start getting paid on Generations as well as on your Levels.  By the time you become a Diamond you are getting paid 4 Generations. By definition, a Generation can have different number of levels in every leg. This means that by the time you are getting paid 4 Generations, you might be getting paid maybe 15 levels in one leg, but 40 levels in another.  In other compensation plans that don’t pay Generations like Vessel does, you are limited to sometimes only 5 levels down.  This feature is what’s going to make a big difference in your monthly income.

10. No penalty if someone in your downline out-ranks you:   In many companies, when someone from your downline achieves a rank above the one you are holding at the moment, you do not get any benefits from that person. With Vessel, we want you to keep progressing in your career.  Not only you are not penalized, but you are still paid the Level Bonuses on these downline people, and they are included on your DSV (Downline Sales Volume) requirements.

We believe that Vessel offers one of the best compensation plans in the market.  Pair that with a new and totally unique product and a ground-floor opportunity, and you have a combo that can’t be beat!

VESSEL IS L A U N C H E D!!

Hello Stylists:

What an amazing weekend we had... Vessel has officially launched! We had a wonderful event this past Saturday, and we will post pictures soon.

We made a few exciting announcements to the Stylists who were there, and we want to share them now with you:

1.   We have extended the Pre-Launch Stylist Kit price of $199 (plus shipping and tax where applicable), until July 31st, which is also the deadline for current Stylists to sign the Official Vessel Stylist Agreement (watch your email for a detailed message about this),

2.   We have announced the requirements to become part of the Founder's Club.  The Founder’s Club is an exclusive group of motivated Stylists, who will be part of a special bonus pool.  As noted below, the period to qualify is limited, and once the Founder’s Club is closed, it is closed forever.  So NOW is the time to work toward that goal!  The requirements are:

a.    Current Stylists: need to become Ruby Directors no later than December 31, 2014.

b.    New Stylists: need to sign up on or before June 30, 2014.  You would then have 18 months (from the first full month) to become a Ruby Director.

3.   We unveiled a beautiful new locket, the Sun Locket, and we are carrying it in three finishes: Rhodium, Gun Metal and Antique Gold. We also unveiled the Small Heart Locket in Antique Gold, as well as five new ScentSpheres colors: Yellow, Peach, Hot Pink, Lavender and Ruby.

4.   New Catalog: we are proud to introduce this beautiful marketing tool with information about the company, products and the Vessel business.

5.   We announced the 2013-2014 Vessel's Advisory Council.  All the Stylists who were at our Launch Event will be part of this Council, and we will depend on them for feedback and ideas.
All of us at Corporate are committed to our Stylists, and we understand that it is with you and for you that we are working hard to take Vessel to the top!

Start Dreaming Again!

by Dioni Morales, National Sales Manager

I read something on a friend's Facebook wall a couple of months ago that I would love to share with you: "If you don't build your dream, someone else will hire you to build theirs."

I love talking about dreams. I don't think we can talk about it enough. I remember being a teenager and dreaming about the great house I would live in, and the Porsche I would drive, and the places I would visit. Do you remember what you used to dream about? Think about it for a minute. Now think about what your dreams are today. If I ask you today what your dreams are, are they as grand as they were when you were younger and you thought you could do anything?

I ask people this question often, and I learn a lot about the person with the answers I get. Most people talk about just getting a decent car, an "ok" house, and maybe a trip to Disneyland with the kids. In general, I have concluded that most people don't dream anymore. And so I ask myself, when did we stop dreaming? Why did we stop dreaming? My personal theory is that it happened when we become what people like to call "realists." Yep, that's what happens.  “Reality" hits us, and gradually we find ourselves forgetting about our “wants” because all we can barely afford are our “needs.” We get a job and give all of our talents to the owner of a company who is absolutely taking care of all of his “wants.”

And so one more time I say to you, why not give all of your time and talent to being your own boss, and to building your own dreams?

I have one last suggestion for you as you start re-focusing on your dreams: make a Dream Board.  It can contain anything that you wish you had in your life, whether that is a big new home, a fancy car, a life of travel, a marriage … this is highly personal and is comprised of whatever you would wish for yourself.  Find pictures to represent each desire and create a collage.  The most important step: put this Dream Board where you will see it every day.  Let it become a regular part of your daily thinking.

You will be surprised by the power of that daily reminder of what you want from life.

Here at Vessel we can help you be your own boss and realize your own dreams. So, by all means, start dreaming again!

What To See and Do in Salt Lake June 21-23

For those of you who are traveling to our upcoming Launch Event, we hope you scheduled a little bit of free time to spend in our lovely capital city.  And we hope the weather cooperates for you to do so!  We wanted to share a few things that are going on that weekend, places to see, etc.

First, it is incredibly easy to get around downtown Salt Lake City.  It's a relatively small city, so it's very walkable.  In addition, our light rail system, TRAX, offers free service within the downtown area.  There is a TRAX station just a half block north of our hotel.  As long as you stay within the downtown area, there is no charge.

Probably the site that is most iconic to SLC is the LDS Temple on South Temple between Main Street and West Temple (and there is a TRAX station very close as well).  Only people who are members of the Church in good standing may enter the Temple.  However, there is a beautiful Visitor's Center, and gorgeous grounds, and is well worth a visit.

That weekend also happens to be when our annual Utah Arts Festival will be held.  This is a fun event, offering work by various artists, food and music.  It is located at Library Square, which is one block east and one block north of the hotel.  You can find additional information at http://uaf.org/.

There are two major shopping areas in the downtown area: The Gateway (north and west of the hotel), and the new City Creek Center (north of the hotel).

6There are many art galleries in the downtown area, as well as numerous museums, including the Family History Museum (with the world's largest genealogical database), the Leonardo, the Beehive House, and Clark Planetarium.  A short walk away is the beautiful Cathedral of the Madeleine.

For more information on Salt Lake City, go to   http://www.visitsaltlake.com/

June is typically one of the lowest precipitation months, so we'll be holding good thoughts that you will enjoy our beautiful city in sunshine!

We can't wait to meet you all!
