How Do I Order Vessel?

It's easy to place your Vessel orders!  You can do so in one of several ways - whatever is easiest for you.

To order directly from our website, to to www.VesselScentsOfStyle.com.  At the top, in the middle of the page, you will see a button for "Vessel Store."  This will take you to our Online Store.  You can also click on the "Shop Vessel" button on this page!
Once you are at the Vessel Online Store, you can either sign in as a Stylist or as a Customer.
Signing in as a Stylist will bring up Stylist pricing, and signing in as a Customer will bring up Retail pricing.

To sign up as a Stylist, you will, of course, need to be a Vessel Stylist.  If you haven't already signed up, you can go to the "Sales Aids" tab on the home page to download a Pre-Launch Stylist Agreement.  No purchase is required during our Pre-Launch phase (although our Pre-Launch Stylist Kit is an amazing value at $199 plus shipping!).  Email or fax the Agreement to us, and you will then be given an account number and user name in order to sign in as a Stylist on the Vessel Store.

What if you are a Stylist, and someone expressed interest in purchasing Vessel items, although they can't make it to a party?  All they have to do is create a Customer account and they will be able to purchase items.  There will also be a prompt in the check-out process for them to enter your Stylist ID number - so make sure that they have it so that you receive the credit for the sale.  This will come up in Step 1 of the check-out process, as shown below.

If you are a Stylist at a party and you have Customer orders, you can complete the orders one of several ways:
  • If you are selling your own inventory, just place a total replacement order through the Stylist Portal on the Online Store.  You can have the order shipped to either yourself or to the Hostess.  You will keep the difference between the Stylist price and the Retail price as your Retail Commission. We suggest adding a $2 per customer handling charge to cover shipping.
  • If Vessel will be mailing each Customer's order to them individually, you can enter each Customer's order through the Customer Portal.  This will involve setting up an account for each Customer.  This is also a way that you can take Customer credit cards at the party.  Vessel will calculate Retail Commissions each Monday, for all orders received by Sunday night.  Again ... make sure that your Stylist ID number is used for all Customer orders!
  • You can scan and email, or fax us all the Customer Order Forms for the party. For those orders where you received cash or a check, you would forward the total payment to Vessel out of your own account, and deposit these Customer payments to your own account. Vessel will process the credit card orders. Orders can be mailed to each Customer, or to one location as described above.
  • You can have the ability to accept credit cards pretty easily these days. All you have to do is open an account with an entity such as Square or PayPal. Both of these offer free smart phone credit card swipers, and there are many other providers out there who do as well.
  • You can always call your orders in at 888-966-VSSL (8775).
  • At this point, you will need to call or email us relative to Hostess Specials, Hostess Gifts and any other Specials that we might be running.  We hope to get this programming updated as soon as possible.
We are working on making your experience with Vessel the best possible.  But please don't ever hesitate to let us know how we can make it better by calling us at 888-966-8775, or emailing us at info@vesselscentsofstyle.com.

Love,

Susan

Success occurs when your dreams get bigger than your excuses by Dioni Morales

I read this quote just last week:  "Success occurs when your dreams get bigger than your excuses."  I just loved it, mainly because it sums up in one sentence exactly what I wanted to talk about this week.

I've already mentioned the fact that this industry has made more millionaires in the last decade than any other type of business. We know that there are many people who are not just making a living with a direct sales business, but also experiencing a lifestyle that few people enjoy.

You might wonder, who makes it in this business? What kind of people are they? I want to share my theory, based on all the people I know who have become very successful. It might surprise you to learn that they come from all walks of life. Some are highly educated, some have little education (I know a lady that still doesn't know how to write).  Some are born leaders, while others have shy personalities.  Some are young, and others are in retirement. And the list goes on.

Nevertheless, what I have noticed is that the people who make it big in this business have two characteristics and beliefs in common:

1. Their obstacles are not bigger than their dreams: All of us will have obstacles in this business, as we do in life.  It doesn't matter what happens that might discourage us, we must learn from it and move on. If we keep our dreams always at a higher standard than our obstacles, we WILL make it!

2. They turn their biggest excuses into their biggest reasons:  Have you ever thought, "I don't have time to do this, I have small children"? You could look at the situation in a new way: “That's exactly why I should do this, so that I can spend more time with my children.”  Or you might say, "I don't have a car, I can't move around."  But that's exactly why you should do it, so that you can not only buy a car, but get your dream car.  Change your mindset with every excuse that you might have.  Turn it around to make it your biggest reason, and things will shift in your mind and attitude.

If you work on these two traits, I can assure you that it doesn’t matter your age, where you come from, your education, etc.  You will make it!

Again: Success occurs when your dreams get bigger than your excuses.... Let's work for success!

The Gals Behind the Chains

When Karen and I first started Vessel and were choosing our chains, we numbered them.  This system proved to be less than useful, as it was difficult to remember a chain by the number.  So we decided to name the chains instead.  In considering what names to use, we came upon the idea of honoring the various girls/women in our lives by naming chains after those we love.  I can't believe what a difference it made in being able to remember exactly which chain was which.

I'd like to introduce you to these women and girls.  I think after you get to know the people behind the chain names, it might help you remember too!

In order of age, from youngest to wisest, I'm happy to introduce you to the Gals Behind the Chains:

Kaiya

Kaiya is my 6 year-old granddaughter, and the apple of Grammie's eye! Kaiya swims, dances, skis, plays soccer, and too many other things to list.  She's going to a Chinese Immersion school in the fall.

Ashlyn

Ashlyn is Karen's 11 year old niece. She loves to be involved and help with whatever is going on. When she was just 8, she was the youngest person to compete in, and complete her city's sprint-triathlon.

Alexa
Alexa is Karen's 14 year old niece. She loves dance and music. She also excels in school with straight A's and is a great soccer player. She just got her braces removed and now shows off her beautiful smile.

Elodie

Elodie is Karen's 16 year old niece. She just got her drivers license and is a big help driving her 7 siblings around. She is a straight A student, and is an excellent pianist and violinist.

Kristen

Kristen is my youngest daughter.  Kristen is married to Sterling and has an adorable two and a half year old son, Atticus.  She is an English professor at a local IT university, and loves teaching her left-brained students.

Stephanie

Stephanie is my oldest daughter.  It was hard to find a photo of Steph where she wasn't skiing, hiking, biking or running.  She and her family are extremely active!  In addition to being Kaiya's mom, she's also mom to handsome Teague (4) and wife to Mickel.

Rebecca

Becky is Karen's youngest sister. She holds the current record for the highest sales at a Vessel party. She also loves to travel the world, and is trying to figure out a trip itinerary that will take her to Florida, Maine and North Dakota, the only three states she hasn't yet visited.

Laura

Laura is Karen's older sister. She has been so supportive of Vessel, even offering some of her home-space as Vessel warehouse space in the beginning stages of the business. Like the rest of the family, she loves to travel, and has been to all 50 states and many countries around the world.

Jeanne

Jeanne is Karen's mom. She'll be 81 this year and is as active as ever. She has a job driving a 91 year old, she still enjoys the annual family camping trip, and she shows her love everyday to her five daughters and 13 grandchildren.

We love and admire these people so much.  They inspire us to create the best company possible.  They support us and love us, and we couldn't possibly have made it without them.

And don't worry ... we have plenty of other gals in our lives for future product names!

Love, Susan

The 40/40 Plan is not working anymore by Dioni Morales

This week I want to talk about something my husband and I talk about often. Most of us were, and still are, lead to believe that if we go to college and then are lucky to find a good job, and we give it our all 40 hours a week for 40 years, we will be set for the rest of our lives. Well, unfortunately that is rarely the case anymore. Fewer people are considered indispensable, and we know that we can be let go at any time - because the corporation changed hands, because they found someone younger and/or that gets paid less to do the same job we do, because computers are now doing our jobs, etc. We could be a bit more lucky and be asked to accept less pay and more hours to keep our job or be politely asked to retire early. Or, we could be very lucky and do endure the 40 years, but will we have what we need to have a happy retirement?

The average 65-year-old retiree is now expected to survive until age 84. This means that retirees need increasing amounts of money to afford a comfortable retirement and provide a cushion for emergencies over such a long period without employment. In fact, some reports indicate that 65-year-old retirees need a minimum nest egg of more than $1 million. Unfortunately more than half of retirees, 54%, report they have less than $25,000 saved. Because the main financial goal for people in this group was about immediate work and financial security, they were unable to focus on preparing for the future. That’s why many retirees are forced back to the workforce.  According to an analysis of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of workers 65 and older has grown dramatically, nearly 60 percent over the past decade.

So, is the 40/40 Plan working? Is it a good plan, a reliable plan? I say, absolutely not! This is why I have been working, not hard but smart, in the direct sales industry. My husband and I didn't have money to invest in a big business, and even if we did, traditional businesses are hard and time-consuming.  It definitely doesn’t provide the freedom we were looking for. When you are creating your direct sales business, you invest very little money, you work smart for a few years and then you are set for life. This is what I call safe, unlike the so-called security of a regular job.

This is a powerful motivator, so use this information to start a conversation with those friends, colleagues and relatives that you will be talking to about joining your organization as Stylists. Remember your February goal to get at least one more Stylist to join your team and the Promotion in which you can get white leatherette T-Bars to display your jewelry.

Remember: work smart, not hard!

February Promotion for your Vessel Business Growth by Dioni Morales

Today is the first day of the second month of the year. We usually use the first weeks of a New Year to set goals, and I'm sure many of you have done that already. If like many women, your goals include some or all of the following: make more money, be your own boss, spend more with your family, start saving for your children's college tuition, start saving for the trip of your dreams, or the house of your dreams, etc.;  we want to invite you to consider making the Vessel business part of your goals for this year and perhaps for the rest of your life. Now, because 64% of people have already given up on their goals by Day 30, we promise you we will always be here to guide and help you with your business.

We just published the very competitive and attractive Vessel Compensation Plan, you can check it out at:

http://media.wix.com/ugd//70f860_fcdc52aac61bc0462bf9d1f7dbb0695e.pdf

You will see that Vessel offers different ways to make as much money as you want to add to your monthly income and even enough money to make all your dreams come to live, it's up to you and the time and effort you want to invest in your Vessel Business.  To help you with your business growth, we will set monthly goals and to motivate you we will have Promotions that will reward you for the achievement of your goals.

The goal for the month of February is to sign up as a Stylist and then get at least one more Stylist in your organization, to begin the Duplication process which is the key in this business. Think about 5 to 10 ladies that you can sit down with and present the Vessel opportunity to, whether in person, if they are close to you, or on the phone or via Skype if they are in a different city. Let them know how excited you are and show them the jewelry in person, if you have purchased the kit, or have them look at it on a brochure or online.

To reward you,Vessel will give you the following:

* Every Stylist that signs up one new Stylist by February 28th receives an 18" White Leatherette T-Bar Necklace Display, perfect for displaying the chains and lockets at your Home Parties.

* Every Stylist that signs up a second Stylist by February 28th also receives a 12" White Leatherette T-Bar Necklace Display, perfect for displaying the ribbon and cord necklaces. This way you can have the set of two T-Bars, which will give a great and fancy look to your Home Parties.

Important Note: In order for a Stylist to receive the T-Bars, her newly recruited Stylists must purchase the Stylist Kit during the month of February. For example, the new Stylist can send her Stylist Agreement on February 5th, and can purchase the kit later on the month, as long as she buys the Kit before February 28th, they will count for the promotion. Now, if you find a new Stylist for your team that cannot afford her Kit at this time, do not discourage her from signing up.  She can still get the Stylist Packet at a cost of $10 plus shipping, which contains all the paperwork needed to have a Home Party, plus a mini-set of ScentSpheres with all of our fragrances.

I truly hope you are encouraged to start your Vessel business this month, and to start your business, you have to think about your team, people you will like to help be successful with you, people that will be an asset to your organization, people that you will enjoy working with.

February is the month to get that ball rolling, what do you think? Will you take the challenge?

Start dreaming my friends!
