Pricey Perfumes versus Vessel Scents

Many a woman, perhaps yourself included, has had this experience…

While perusing the department store perfume counters, you paid a high price for a fine fragrance because you fell in love with the gorgeous, expensive package - and thought you also loved the scent - only to discover after taking it home and using it a few times that it made a nice decoration on your bathroom counter, but you really didn't care for the scent after all. But with those pricey perfumes, it's hard for you to justify the purchase of a new fragrance to take the place of the one you don't really like. So you continue using a fragrance that you dislike because, by darn you're going to get your money's worth out of that purchase!

Perfume problem solved!

The versatility of Vessel scents allows a quick and easy change of fragrance at any time, so you don't have to grudgingly use every last drop of an expensive perfume that you don't much care for before rationalizing the purchase of a new one. You can purchase a set of ScentSpheres in each of Vessel's 12 fine fragrances for far less than the cost of many perfumes. And now, instead of being limited to the same scent, you have a wide range of lovely scents to choose from at any time.

With Vessel, you also have the flexibility to change your fragrance and style from day to night or for different occasions...whether at the office during the day then a romantic dinner and dancing date later that night...or PTA, soccer games and music lessons throughout the day and then a well-deserved quiet evening out with a friend.

When it comes to pricey perfumes versus Vessel scents, choose Vessel for flexibility, versatility and selection of fine fragrance.

We're Heating Up The Popcorn!

by: Dioni Morales, Director of Stylist Services

I'm sure that all of you have made popcorn - whether in a pot, the microwave or an air popcorn popper.  Usually, no matter which cooking method, the same thing happens: not much for the first few minutes.  Then all of a sudden it starts popping like crazy and it increases to maybe 20 times or more it's original volume.  There is no real difference in the heat applied to the popcorn in the beginning.  What causes the popcorn to actually pop is just a matter of time.  However, if we take the popcorn from the heat right as it starts popping, the results would be totally different.

This is not that different than what happens in our businesses. You start talking to people, set your goals, plug into the system, schedule time with Tracy for coaching, listen to our weekly calls, read our blogs, etc.  You are working hard and smart, so why are you not seeing that $10,000 monthly check?  Why don't you have 100 Stylists in your downline?

Would you expect to have huge muscles after going to the gym and lifting weights for only a week or two?  It's all about consistency.  Business mogul and author, Kim Garst wrote: "My name is CONSISTENCY, I am related to SUCCESS. We should hang out more often than.... every once in a while."  And business guru Jim Rohn said: “Success is neither magical nor mysterious.  Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying basic fundamentals.

Fortunately, Vessel offers you a way to start making money immediately through your Retail Commission.  We also have designed a plan that will allow you to start climbing the rank ladder quickly.  Most importantly, we offer you a new lifestyle and financial freedom you have only dreamed of.  However, to obtain these things you need to be consistent in your efforts. Just like you would not take the popcorn off the heat just as it starts popping, you should not stop doing what we are equipping you to do.  Don't stop until you get to Diamond Director and that big monthly check that will change your life and the life of those around you forever.  We have designed Vessel's Compensation Plan so that you really can achieve this ... and more!

Now go and pop yourself some popcorn, and while you are enjoying it, think about ways of being and staying consistent!

Go Fishing for Business!

If you are looking for new bookings or possible recruits, there are lots of things you can do – and one of them is to make sure you stay home as little as possible!

Yes, there are things you have to do from your home office (making calls for example), but there are tasks that you can just as easily do in a public place - for example in a coffee shop.

Filling in order forms, writing thank-you notes to your hostesses, and many other jobs can be done from the comfort of a "Starbucks" near you, and in an area where some of your potential customers are likely to be.

These days with a small computer or tablet (it’s small so it leaves plenty of space on the table for other things like your coffee and bagel) and an Internet connection, you can virtually work anywhere. Why would you stay home, when you could be among people?

It’s just like fishing!

If you’ve ever been fishing, you know that you put some bait on the hook, drop it in the water, and wait. Sometimes you only get nibbles, sometimes you catch a fish – and sometimes you go home empty handed.

As you work in the coffee shop, you will have brochures and other literature on the table in plain view (to refer to as you work) so that people who walk past will notice it (see how it’s like fishing?). As crazy as it may sound, I have picked up bookings and recruits this way!  The waitresses are often of surprising help.

I’ve had people come up to me and say “I’ve been looking for a consultant from your company! How amazing you are just sitting here!”

Even if you don’t get any nibbles you’ll still have done your work (more efficiently and quickly than if you were at home, by the way), had a nice coffee or Diet Coke, and - bonus! - you got dressed and out of the house.

There are no down sides to this – and plenty of possible up sides!

Make this part of your weekly routine. It’s effortless!  And, after all, fishing is a very relaxing pastime.

My Favorites at the Academy Awards Gifting Suite

We had so much fun at the Academy Awards Gifting Suite, I guess I wanted to draw it out just a bit longer!

So I decided to make a list of some of my favorite celebrities:

Comedian Bill Engvall - pretty funny in person too!

Caitlin Carmichael - she was SO cute, positive and polite, and just the most petite girl you ever saw!

Carolyn Hennesy - I just love her character on "Cougar Town" - she's the only true cougar on it!

Dee Wallace, better known to many as the mom on "ET" (and of course our own gorgeous Dioni)

Edie McClurg, best known right now for her voice work on "Frozen" but she's done a ton of other stuff.

Back in the day (the Luke and Laura days to be precise) I was a huge fan of "General Hospital."  If you were too you might recognize Bobbie - Jackie Zeman

I confess I still haven't seen "Dallas Buyers Club" but James Dumont (here with his cute daughter) was just really a nice guy.

I guess you have to be a certain age to remember the "Laugh In" days, but I am and I do, and I always absolutely loved Joanne Worley.  She's still as bubbly as ever!

Another actor I haven't necessarily followed, but liked very much in person - Mark Ryan.  And his girlfriend contacted us later to get another set!

The legendary Mickey Rooney ... what an honor.

She didn't have her hubby with her, but Rachel Reilly has been on two seasons of one my favorite shows, the "Amazing Race," including the current season.  She seemed pretty bratty on the show, but she's actually VERY nice!

Todd Sherry appears on another favorite, "Suburgatory."

It was a great experience, and hopefully we'll spy a Vessel set here or there on the celebrities we met (or their wives!) as they are out and about.  I can tell you that we were one of the most popular booths there.

We met MANY other celebrities ... check out YOUR favorites at http://www.vesselscentsofstyle.com/#!academy-awards/c20sw!

To Your Success!
